February 8 Birdability Walk

Hi! I hope your winter birding is proving fruitful! The Austin weather has been really cooperative, and we are taking advantage of it.

Please join Virginia and others on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Walnut Creek Metro Park at 8:00-10:00am.

Walnut Creek is tailor-made for folks with mobility challenges! Meet at the parking lot on Walnut Creek Park Road that is closest to Parmer Lane on the northwest side of town. See below for directions. Unfortunately, it is not on the Capital Metro route.

Dress for the weather! If it is too cold or wet, I may cancel. Check my blog, birdability.com before you leave home!

Bring water, a hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Bring binoculars if you have them. I will bring extra binoculars for those of you who need them.

IF COMING NORTH ON MOPAC:
Take Mopac N to Parmer.
R on Parmer
Pass Metric and Scofield
R on Willow Wild Rd. which becomes Walnut Creek Park Road
Park in FIRST lot on the RIGHT.
You will see some green "begin bike trail" signs.

IF YOU ARE COMING NORTH ON LAMAR INSTEAD OF PARMER:
Pass Walnut Park Crossing on the right, and go L on Walnut Creek Park Road, 12138 N. Lamar. If you get to W. Yeager, you've gone too far. Continue down Walnut Creek Park Road until you get to the last parking lot on the left. This parking lot will not have any playground equipment on it.

See you there! I am very excited you are coming. I know you will enjoy it. If you run into any problem, call or text me at: 512-461-6920.
